Such a shock.

Very fond memories of the legendary and fabulous Ashra concert at KLEMdag 1997.

I will be forever grateful to Manuel for being such a kind, humble, and helpful person -- back in 1994, he helped me out with schematics for the EKO Compute Rhythm when mine went up in a cloud of biting smoke: "Needed to go the GEMA headquarters. My parents live nearby so I went to the copyshop in the neighbourhood and made copies for you. I hope they will work out for you, good luck!"

Klaus Schulze wouldn't have done me that favour, let alone Schulze's publisher.

first Ashra Tempel album, Inventions, New Age of Earth, E2-E4….all momentously influential and great albums. Just to name a few of the many. Quality to quantity, he was probably the best of all the so called Berlin school guys… R.i.P Maestro!

Just now hearing about this, 2022 has been a very bad year for losing musicians. E2-E4 is still one of my favorite long works of his and all time. The Great Gig In The Sky is gonna be a great one this year, much to dismay of those down here on the ground. RIP, MG.
