I just can't get enough of the music they released between Permanent Waves and Power Windows (both included). Probably the best band in the world.

Rush are one of the best bands in the world ever IMO..three guys with immense talent and some stellar songwriting..saw them back in may play a flawless almost three hour set and not a duff track in their setlist..they were my all time fave band for many years and I still hold them in high regard.

Freak Out Artemi ... my brother turned me on to The Mothers Of Invention's Freak Out! album when I was just 16 years old back in 1969 along with the first Cream album.

Suzy Creamcheese, what's got into you?

My drummer George is the biggest Rush fan out there probably seeing them live in concert more than 30 times. He recently saw Neil Peart perform in NYC on the David Letterman Show.

He loves everything Canadian like the NHL Toronto Mapleleafs but I was the one who turned him onto Nash The Slash.

As for Rush, they are probably the best power trio out there and I like most of their music but sometimes Geddy Lee's vocals hits a bad nerve.

Have you had the chance to see the movie "Suck" about a struggling bar band becoming famous once they became vampires. There were characters played by Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop and Alex as a border cop. Malcom McDowell was the vampire hunter and there was a hot female bass player worth the cost of renting or buying this DVD.

Suck 👍 👍

Mothers Of Invention 👍 👍

Rush 👍

I have all of their cds and dvds but the thought of sitting through a live show for 2-3 hours with 20,000 Rush fans keeps me happy to be home. In the 15 years my drummer and I have been recording together, he has said, "this might be the last chance to see them play" many times but they still seem to go on tour when they get the urge.

Hell, looking back the last live show I went to was Porcupine Tree maybe eight years ago but then I turned 50!

It's all in the ear of the listener. For me they are just a good band... for now. I much prefer Italian Prog or Magma, for that matter.

Not big fan of Rush. I do like their hits like Tom Sayler, Working Man, etc. Rush was played on the rock stations in town for as long as I can remember.

One day I'll dive deeper into their catalog..

Btw- I watched the movie "Suck" last night. LOL.. pretty insane goofiness!

p.s. For good or bad, I tend to steer away from music I could regularly listen to on commercial/pop-rock radio. Because it was so excessible I guess I put off buying or exploring many bands over the years.

Edit: I have a ton of respect for Rush (and Neil) and know they're a great band. Just not really for me.
