Have prepared the next episode of Sonolab and this time the overarching theme has to do with all things six-string. Guitars feature a lot in the music I have chosen and the featured album is Steve Roach & Roger King's Dust To Dust

The show is on every Sunday evening from 19:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs and tonight will I will present music by:

* Steve Roach & Roger King - Gone West
from Dust To Dust (label: Projekt)

* David Sylvian - The Wooden Cross
from Gone To Earth [Instrumentals] (label: Virgin)

* Steve Roach & Roger King - The Ribbon Rails Of Promise
from Dust To Dust (label: Projekt)

* Terje Rypdal - Fare Well
from Odyssey (label: ECM)

* Steve Roach & Roger King - Rain And Creosote
from Dust To Dust (label: Projekt)

* Tangerine Dream - 3 AM At The Border Of The Marsh From Okefenokee
from Stratosfear (label: Virgin)

* Steve Roach & Roger King - Ghost Train
from Dust To Dust (label: Projekt)

Click on "Live stream" in the left column or for a week after broadcast the whole show is available as an On Demand Stream from the website of our radiostation. Where can you find that? Well, here of course:

http://www.omroepalmelo.nl/sonolab/

and then click "Luister naar uitzending gemist" in the middle of the screen. A second window will open up (might be that you have to accept that through your pop-up killer) and the show starts (with a bit of that evenings 19:00 hours news first).

Check in if you have the time and let me know what you think of the show.

The idea to feature the Roach & King album was actually a decision I made somewhere late in the afternoon. I wanted to use some music by Sylvian, Rypdal and Tangerine Dream and from the TD came the idea to use the Dust To Dust album with the benefit of it featuring guitar as well. The nature sounds was pretty much a last minute idea I had because I needed something to make a few transitions a bit smoother. So I started searching on Youtube and found these great recordings that were posted by www.listeningearth.com

Thanks for listening and responding. Next week might be a totally different show because I just received the first album by a good friend of mine who produces music under the guise of Ohmtron Seedling. Quite intriguieng albeit sometimes very lo-fi (deliberate) EM. Need to find a way / form to integrate it into my 'collages'.
