In about 1 hours time my weekly show will start again which you can listen to live through:

http://www.omroepalmelo.nl/sonolab/

Click on either the WMA or the Winamp icon just below "Luister Live" in the right column.

The show is on every Sunday evening from 19:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs and tonight it will feature:

Johannsson, Johan - The Suns Gone Dim (IBM 1401)
Corder, Jason & Beta Two Agonist - Idol Amor (Further To Find Closer)
Martinez, Cliff - Wear Your Seat Belt (Solaris)
Civilized Electrons, The - Encounter (Collection 1 : Opening)
Armstrong, Craig - Starless II (As If To Nothing)
Cymphonic - Gracilis (Strataradialis)
Johannsson, Johan - Fordlandia (Fordlandia)

Some of these tracks are released on the most excellent ambient label Databloem.

Check in if you have the time and let me know what you think of the show.

Hope you like it... the idea of this edition came from me listening to some new tracks by Johan Johannsson on his MySpace page and from there on it progressed into this electronics meets strings idea.

nice to see that you are always looking for a certain 'connection' to have the different tracks linked together 8)

Makes the show unpredictable and unique

nice concept!

Thanks for the compliment.

This whole idea of threading things together within a show or at least have some theme to it was always something I had in mind for Sonolab. And it also makes my job a bit easier. If you have a point of origin it normally isn't that difficult to piece things together. It is finding that point what normally takes me a bit too long and hence I normally have compiled the show just close about an hour before it goes on air.

While I am typing this the Civilized Electrons track is running, this is such a cool piece of music but I haven't seen their name popping up anywhere else. Anybody got some more info on them? BTW, this track is from the first Databloem Collection called Opening.
