I think Gert Emmens should buy one and play some of his trademark chords with it. It would be amazing.

There's a Novachord CD available on CDBaby.com...it's the same guy. I would love to own one but probably a logistical nightmare to keep running. (and apparently potentially toxic)

One of the few things that brings out the raging G.A.S. in me. Everything I'd read about this thing suggested it was some kind of curio, an early electronic piano. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard this for the first time, what an amazing tone that thing has. I ordered and received the CD of improvs from Mr Cirocco a whiole ago, and can strongly recommend it, it's very good. I'd guess the guy's a bit of a Morricone fan going on some of the pieces on it.

From the sounds on the CD there aren't many tones which would be too difficult to approximate these days on any decent synth with some efx added. Reminds me of an old Farfisa organ with ADSRs added. Someone ought to try to come up with a software plug-in "virtual Novachord"....maybe go and audio analyze Mr. Cirocco's Novachord. I wonder if Hammond could even build a new model these days given the absence of all the old parts?
