Prince used the 303 for what it was actually designed for on U GOT THE LOOK. Interesting sound.

I hate programming the sequencer but its amazing that a naff bassline auto accompaniment box has become iconic piece of late 20th century music purely by accident and its even more amazing that its weird organic squelches hasn

For a specific sort of music exactly the right tool. Just give me an 808 and two 303s, and off I go into minimal electro. Alas, this type of music tends to bore me after some hours so I never got into it too deeply :(...

As an instrument, the 303 is a classic in its own right. Way overpriced for what it actually does, though. I

What do you guys think about the 303 clones that are doing the rounds?

Revolution, x0xb0x ect......

I'm thinking of taking the plunge for something to go with my Regalwerk/Quasimidi's for a possible live setup.

I had a listen to a recent software 303 clone that was extraordinarily close to the original, but can't remember what it was.
