I get this:

This page isn’t working

www.emportal.info is currently unable to handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500

Daniel,

What I did:

1] do not log in at first
2] click on profile at top menu
3] log in
4] edit profile and save

It worked for me! Added a image to my profile and on another occasion added my website.

Not sure why, but that part of the profile somehow disappeared...

Well, the link in the menu is wrong, that's why one cannot go to the profile directly. It should be profile.php instead of orioncp.php. If one uses the link and replaces orioncp with profile, it works.

Btw., are there any plans to move on to some more current forum version?

There are indeed plans to get rid of this ancient forum software. My plan is to actually move away from phpbb to something more modern. The big issue is time though. Not to install the software, but to migrate the database.

Yes, data migration might be an issue.
The good thing about phpbb is that it is free.
What is "something more modern"?

Maybe Simple Machines would be an option. It's also free and they also offer data converters for phpbb.
