Saw them live at Birmingham Town Hall sometime in the early 1970's.
We were three rows back from the stage and in the synth solo in Gypsy it was very painful as the high notes hurt your ears. The whole concert was incredibly loud. Excelant night - superb concert.

Hmmm... not particular to a band, since almost all the concerts are LOUD and poor of you if... exactly... get anywhere near the speakers, can ruin everything... 😢

I remember them from the early 70's when David Byron was on lead vocals and Ken Hensley on keyboards and I saw them 3 times for the first 3 albums tours and they were excellent. :D :D :D

I love this band especially in their classic line-up :

David Byron, Ken Hensley, Mick Box, Gary Thain and Lee Kerslake

Got all their seventies albums.

The first album I bought was the 1973 double live album - including Heep's rock and roll medley.

Ken Hensley (the magician) imo being the "architect" of this great UK band
