In 1988 Steven Brenner releases an excellent album (together with Timothy Rempel) "New Found World" under the name Vernal Equinox.

Some MC's were released in the same decade. I know of "Stellar Tunnel" and something together with Brett Maraldo called "Metropolis"

Never heard from him again. Does anybody know how to het into contact with him?

I noticed there was a website developed for him, but contact does not seem to work.

Sorry to revive a year old thread, but it's not every day you find your name posted on a forum. Glad to have found this forum by the way!

I am brett maraldo aka plexus and did the metropolis project with Steve Brenner.

Doesn't matter Brett, :welcome: to this forum! That is exactly why it's a forum. I've seen slower replies...

Are you still into (electronic) music?

Just noticed your other post on this forum, so I quickly edited my first reply. Hence the strike through in the previous line.

I have had brief contact with Steve through YouTube, but he seems to be more into fiddling around with his gear.
Not much music since the eighties and maybe very early nineties...

Would be nice if some of those materials could be made public through these modern channels like
Bandcamp (sales) and/or Spotify (pr/marketing) mainly to make it widely available to a bigger audience.

Still enjoy the tape "Metropolis" the two of you created back then...

Yes we're getting to just being a couple of old geezers listening to ancient tapes (or not)

Do you have Steve's tape of Metropolis where he left my name off it? That was my project. I had written a complete sound track to Metropolis but when this performance came around, I thought it would be more interesting for the audience if there were two musicians on stage. So *I* invited Steve to perform as well. Then, without me knowing, he released that tape using the tapes of the event that I recorded and gave him. And left my name off it, until i found out about it and then he wrote me in, in pen, misspelling my name. Not good. not good at all.

I do own a copy of that tape.

Of course I was unfamiliar with it's background (until now)

I learned from Steve this all was supposedly resolved like 20 years ago; he remembers he transferred it to cassette from a live recording and gave it to a few people, perhaps 15....
Moreover I feel something good should come out of it, so may I suggest Brett & Steve start a constructive dialogue to "solve" this......

Hmmm. no. there was no resolution. I found out that Steve was not giving me credit where credit was entirely due and he "rectified" it by scratching my mispelled name on the tape. Nothing else to resolve. A simple case of trying to steal someone else's work for his own gain, now, forever burned into the internet. There is nothing more to do, other than tell the real story behind the debacle, 20 years later, for those that are interested.
